CircAidĀ® donates 800+ lower leg compression garments to Project Medishare for Haiti
Project Medishare for Haiti, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Dr. Barth Green and Dr. Art Fournier with the mission of establishing sustainable health programs, developmental services, and training of healthcare professionals for the people of Haiti. It has been almost two years since a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 earthquake devastated Haiti, and while the aftershocks have dissipated, the efforts to rebuild and heal continue. Project Medishare for Haiti is leading the forefront in improving the health and living conditions, while providing quality healthcare and development services for all Haitians; but there is still more work to be done.
The people of Haiti, along with the courageous efforts of Project Medishare, depend on the donations of supplies, equipment and medicine in order to fulfill their mission. Basic essentials such as clean water, sanitation, health infrastructure, access to education, access to agriculture and more are still being re-established and there are constant fund raising and donation campaigns running. CircAidĀ® Medical Products, Inc. is pleased to announce its partnership with Dr. John Macdonald, the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, the Miller School of Medicine and this prestigious foundation that is on the forefront of providing socially, culturally and economically accepted healthcare programs to the people of Haiti. By donating more than 800 lower leg compression garments, CircAidĀ® is not only making compression easier, but making compression possible for Haitian patients.
With this delivery of lower leg garments, the Bernard Mevs Hospital in Port-au-Prince now has the ability to offer compression therapy for lower legs to Haitian patients suffering from Lymphedema and Venous Disease. Please visit the Project Medishare website to learn more about Project Medishare, to register a fundraising team or to make an individual donation.
