The Board of CircAid® Medical Products is proud to announce they have appointed Dean J Bender as the new company president. Sandra A. Shaw has assumed the Chief Executive Officer role and will retain her position as Chairman of the Board.
Based in San Diego, California, CircAid® is a medical device manufacturer of inelastic, adjustable compression garments for the management of venous and lymphatic disease. Dean joined CircAid® in January 2010 as the Executive Vice President to oversee the continued growth in Strategic and Business development. During this period, CircAid® has achieved increased sales of 25% in 2010 and is projected to exceed a 35% sales growth in 2011. In September 2010 Dean led efforts to rebrand the company, reflecting to the market recent changes and advancements in our cutting edge technology with the Juxta-Fit™ and Juxta-Lite™ product lines.
In 1986 Dean graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Chemical Engineering. After college, Dean worked for a variety of companies that specialized in chemicals for the Textile Industry before entering the medical device field. From 2004 – 2009 Dean was the Vice President of Global Research and Development for BSN medical Inc. (Jobst). Prior to joining CircAid® he founded Bender Innovations, a consulting firm specializing in innovation and new business ventures.
Dean co-chaired the originating campaign for the American College of Phlebology Foundation, and served three years as Treasurer for the Board for the American College of Phlebology Foundation. He continues to remain active with the various Associations around the world that focus on education and research in venous and lymphatic disease. Dean and his wife Debbie currently reside in Denver, North Carolina, and are proud parents of their daughter Amanda whom is studying Strategic Communications at Elon University.
