Graduate™

Does the Graduate™ come in different colors?

Yes, it is available with a black compression shell with black neoprene measuring strip, and the inner and outer padding liners are available in any combination of red, teal, beige and black.

Patient needs compression for daytime use, will not bandage, and doesn’t have the strength to pull on elastic stockings, but the Graduate™ is for nighttime use only. Are there any other options?

Consider if your patient is ambulatory. The Graduate™ is recommended for nighttime use due to the full-foam insert, and its one-piece construction. For active patients, the garments are disruptive due to the limited range of motion if worn during the day and with high levels of activity. For inactive patients it may work; however, a therapist or clinician will need to be involved in the final decision to wear the garment during the day. See our Juxta-Fit™ line of compression leggings and Comfort Non-Slip Liner™ for daytime leg options.

Can the length of the Graduate™ be adjusted?

By altering – no.

By slightly re-positioning, either up or down – yes.

My Graduate isn’t the exact length I put on the sizing chart, why?

Because the garments are made of a series of 2" straps and d-rings, the length can only change incrementally as set forth by established strap widths, which have been designed, engineered, and tested for superior coverage and efficacy. This limits us from manufacturing to specific lengths without altering the consistency of the strap spacing.

Can Circaid Medical make a custom Graduate™ that targets the hip area by angling the straps with a lateral rise?

No. Due to the constraints of the technology, the straps must always be pulled normal to the limb and can not be angled.

There are larger gaps at the Graduate™ knee straps and between the foot portion and first strap. Is this ok?

These gaps are created to give the garment flexibility. They do not create problems because the foam helps redistribute compression to these areas. If you find the gapping to be problematic, please contact us.

How will the patient know when the level of compression on the Graduate™ needs to change?

See your patient after one month of wear to check and adjust the compression levels if necessary. Your patient may indicate sometime in the future that not enough compression is being felt. This is an indication to check the sleeve to assure the proper amount of compression is being used.

The Graduate™ seems to be too short in length. What do I do?

Is the patients’ heel all the way down into the heel cup of the foot piece? Also, make sure the knee is positioned correctly. Make sure to pull up on the legging (avoid repetitive pulling on the foam insert only as this tends to tear this piece prematurely) before fastening the bands above the knee.
